Here are the basics of our installation method. We’ll run a trunk line from your transformer to the main hub which is independently fused. From that hub we’ll run branches out to satellite hubs so that the fixtures can run off of either the main hub or satellite hub.
A hub is used because is it allows you or us to find the connections at a later date. It also keeps all the connections from being buried and subject to corrosion, which can result in costly replacements.
When lighting is installed we employ the Critical 3 method, which firstly tests that we are within the amp reading at the primary line at the transformer. Secondly, each trunk line needs to be less than 20 amps at the transformer and lastly, the voltage at each hub needs to be between 21.6 to 24 volts, and we can adjust for those differences with the various voltage taps at the transformer, resulting in more efficient ampage and lower electricity usage and costs for you than traditional installation methods. Additionally, by keeping within those parameters you will get full life out of your lamps and fixtures.
