The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), a leading conservation organization focused solely on the African continent, recently appointed Larry Green, CEO and co-founder of System Pavers, to its international Board of Trustees. In the position, Green will join other board members in broadening awareness of the issues currently facing Africa’s wildlife and wild lands and furthering conservation and fundraising efforts worldwide. Members of the board include past presidents of African countries, executives of Fortune 500 global companies, and others with a passion for conserving Africa’s many magnificent species and diverse ecosystems.

“AWF is thrilled to appoint Larry Green to our Board of Trustees,” says Patrick Bergen, CEO of AWF. “Larry brings a personal and passionate understanding of the issues facing the African continent. AWF will benefit from his perspective. We look forward to Larry helping us identify creative solutions for our conservation challenges going forward.”

Green immigrated to the United States from Johannesburg in 1992 with his wife, Debbie. “As a South African native, Debbie and I have hosted several group visits, with both friends and business partners, to experience the captivating beauty and adventure of Africa,” said Green. “I am looking forward to being able to apply my interest, commitment and enthusiasm in African conservation more directly through my role as an AWF trustee.”
